Finally trying out those Photoshop CS5 features

So yeah, CS5 has been out for about a year now. However, I refused to download it on my aging desktop. Why would I want to download a clip show program? It would have been slow.

Today I decided to play with the 3D features. Seems like lots of potential, but confusing at first. It can make very predictable results so I have to find out how to make it more interesting. One thing I figured out was that the final render has to be ray traced. I guess it will always be slow.
It really pushed my Intel Core i5. Too bad the result looks almost the same after 2 minutes. I rendered this Zerg symbol from Starcraft 2. Just found a vector version and tried out all the 3D features available.
Now I need to make something with a clearer goal in mind. It's still neat though.

I recently tried CS5 as well, the content aware feature is amazing. Sadly, my computer's video card can't support the 3D, I was pretty eager to try it.

Of course not. I wouldn't even know what to do with it.
