I hope you enjoyed it!

The New Crisis has ended with the exception of the credits.  The episode took much more time than I expected to complete, obviously.  With all 6 parts to the last episode, that's an estimated 60 minutes of episode.  I put lots of attention to every detail so that the result would be the best possible.

I can finally start deleting stuff from my computer.  Raw recordings and script dumps are going in the trash.  There were 83 recordings, including boss fights which usually had their recordings split in two because of VBA's audio-sync problems.  That's 26 GB!  There were also 51 script dumps.  The longest one had to be the WaveMan story scene.  Those only come out to 21 KB, which isn't much.

Episode resources will not be trashed and I will share them now.  It's kind of large and unorganized.  There's nothing illegal in there. :D

It seems like the PA chip images received good feedback.  Here is a sample of the Darkness PA chip image in full scale.

Too bad I didn't make the others on a scale like that.  They would have looked better outside the game.

Let me remind you all again that now is the time to come forward if you feel you deserve credit in the making of The New Crisis.  Once the credits are published, there's no going back so let me know now.  You can contact me via email at:

Without the brackets, of course.  It can be minimal.  I just don't want to leave anyone out.  I know there's someone I owe credit to for the SciLab part at the end.  Off the top of my head, I know the following get credit:

Greiga Master (for various programs)
Tayo (for the video scenes)
Rockman PM (for the Trojan Horse battle music)
MegaMan Network (for various arts and music)
Rock Miyabi (for scans)
Nigoli (for the EXE OSS Life Virus battle music)

I know there's more.

The New Crisis Finale

It's the final episode of The New Crisis!

Now I have to set up the ending and credits.  If you feel you deserve credit, contact me and I'll credit you.

Crazy weather

I don't know if you've heard but down here in Southern California, we're having some of the most bizarre weather we've had in a while.  Finally a wet winter.  There are heavy rains, wind, and lightning here.  I'm amazed by it all.  I like this kind of weather.  It's very fun to watch.  There has been damages as well and luckily, I'm not one of the few with a flooded refrigerator and bedroom.

Here is a video of a flash of lightning outside my door.  Finally!

Here is a picture outside my house, but in the afternoon when the sun was out.

More pictures.  It hailed the next day and I got to see the brightest rainbow I'd ever seen.

Episode 10-5 is done!

It turns out that I didn't have enough room for the next few scenes I had recorded.  Many thanks to Tayo for the video cutscene.

Teaser 9

In a couple of hours, I've managed to make significant progress on the final episode of The New Crisis.  Now that the hardest part is over with, I can work on the easier parts although I've never imported a real-world map before.  I was able to get WaveMan to appear in battle randomly though his sprite hardly ever shows up due to sprite limitations.  Here's how much time I've made so far.  I've got a little more than 6 minutes right now.  If the next scenes take up 4 minutes, I can publish it at just the right time.  Here's another little fact.  Right now, I have nearly 70 recordings ranging from 5 seconds to 3 minutes.  They're taking up 20 Gigabytes right now (damn uncompressed video format)  When I'm done, I expect to have about 80 recordings and 25 GB of video.

I'll need someone who's good at video editing for some parts that are coming up.  I would do it myself but the computer I use is incapable of handling any decent video editor.  If you can help me, you know how to contact me.  You will get your name in the credits.

Oh, and here is the teaser.  I'm going to regret releasing this because it says so much.  Click the link to see it.

Megaman Zero Collection DS announced

A collection title was recently announced by Capcom of Japan.  They even have a flash site.  Because it's a flash site, I was able to snatch all the images used in the presentation.  Transparent game logos again!

They'll be in the TREZ Gallery soon (link on the right)

For now, here are a few images.

Progress is being made

Looks like I have enough time again.  I'm working on it again.  I'm at the part where I have to build the final battle.  It seems like this will be the most difficult part yet.  No teasers this time because I don't want to reveal anything more.  Take my word on this one.  I hope to have enough to publish by Sunday.

Waveman sprite

Rather than update the older post, I'm just making a new post for this.  All of WaveMan's battle sprites (that I intended to use) are complete.

Making everything was very difficult but I am satisfied with my work.  I might even make a tutorial on this because it's so effective.  The trick is to make it in parts, obviously.  Then it's easier to assemble everything at the end with an image-editing program with layers.  The overall process is extremely time-consuming and making a fully custom sprite sheet would take a lot of patience considering consistency errors like proportions and size will become cumbersome.

Another excuse

In case anyone's wondering why the next part isn't up.  I have another excuse.  I hardly have the time again.  It's kind of hard to balance with school.  Plus, my stupid slow computer is making it very difficult to get anything done.  I think it's another virus infection.

Since I have not had the allotted time to work on the next part, I decided to work on WaveMan's battle sprite.  If I have it, I can try to implement him in the final battle.

Here is what I have so far.  I made it from scratch by the way.

Random Guitar Hero glitch

So Greiga Master was playing Guitar Hero Smash Hits on Wii.  He was playing online and found a player named "slayer".  However, the player was playing the vocals while he played the guitar.  Upon entering the match, a bright green square saying "missing texture; fix me" appeared.

Here are some pictures I captured.  The song played was "Through the Fire and Flames".

And here is a brief video I captured.  It seems the other player managed to get some score.

Notice how the guitar panel is in the middle when it should have been on the left.

Most of the glitch seems to be because you can't face-off a vocal guy on guitar.  How do you win?  Guitar better than the guy can sing?  Needless to say, GM won.

New Favicon

I know it's odd that this is the only thing I'm posting right now.  Unfortunately, I'm far too busy again and can't finish The New Crisis.  I hope to set aside some time this weekend to really get things going.

Anyways, I've added a new icon to the blog.  The Willhostforfood icons obviously won't work anymore so I made a new icon and uploaded it to this IconJ.com site which is good enough.  I don't like their 256 color, though.

Here is the original icon.

Of course, it's never complete without the yellow color.

They're for free use, by the way.
